Naureen Naqvi

Before moving to New York for work for The United Nations, Naureen stepped away from being a full-time artist to dedicate herself towards her challenging career in global humanitarian work—spending time in both South Asia and West Africa. As an artist, Naureen boldly addresses controversial topics such as gender, freedom, dance, religion, Sufism, and the life experiences of women in a patriarchal society—with a ray of hope and happiness. Her career in humanitarianism often inspires and informs her art. Naureen has participated internationally in solo and group exhibitions, and her work exists in many public and private collections in her native country of Pakistan and abroad.
